"On This Day" is a project-no project, a photographic almanac in which 365 photos mostly unpublished will be in a continuous succession for a whole year and almost every day, 365 images in which the main common denominator is the chronological succession of days and months, regardless of the year in which they were taken. Different places, various themes, objects, people, landscapes, architectures, stories: an intriguing mix that gives rise to a compendium of what my eyes have seen over time and what my mind has perceived. "On This Day" represents a visual testimony of the reality and in some ways also of the imaginary, it wants to offer to the viewer the homage of the disenchantment, the tribute to the suspended time, the taste of the discovery.
[Italiano] “On This Day” (Accadde oggi) è un progetto-non progetto, un almanacco fotografico nel quale si susseguiranno per un anno intero e con cadenza pressoché quotidiana 365 fotografie per lo più inedite e aventi come principale denominatore comune la successione cronologica di giorni e mesi, indipendentemente dall'anno in cui sono state scattate. Luoghi diversi, differenti tematiche, oggetti, persone, paesaggi, architetture, storie: un mix intrigante che dà origine ad un compendio di ciò che nel tempo i miei occhi hanno visto e la mia mente ha percepito. “On This Day” rappresenta una mia testimonianza visiva del reale e per certi versi anche dell'immaginario, che intende offrire a chi guarda l'omaggio del disincanto, il tributo al tempo sospeso, il sapore della scoperta.
